  • Question: Has there been any chatter on Freaky Fusions lately? I remember you posted a few in-store photos not super long ago, but it feels like there's been 0 news on them lately? I'm interested in a lot of the concepts, but I want proper info :s - Anonymous
  • Answer:

The assortments are as I’ve posted - and have listed at the bottom of the Timeline page. I tend to wait until somewhat clear promotional pictures have been released before I post my full info pages for each line. Unfortunately those haven’t made it online yet - only scans from a Mattel distribution catalog - which have watermarks all over them stating that they shouldn’t be scanned/shared.

  • Question: Hi. I forgot so maybe, you could remind me - are Zombie Shake dolls some store's exclusives? Where are they usually found? I run my own (non-English) website and have to update catalog, but seems like there are no good promo pics of them yet. - phantom-de-force
  • Answer:

They aren’t store exclusive, but have been found at Justice’s - just last Friday.

  • Question: Hi, I came across your blog about a month ago and I love it! It is so informative and I trust all the information on it! I would like to ask you a question. Why does the Classroom 2 pack Double the Recipe picture you have say 'Heath Burns/ Thomas Crane and Abbey Bominable' on the doll name area? I am completely confused why it says 'Thomas Crane'. Do you know why? - Anonymous
  • Answer:

Thomas Cramé is Heath’s name, apparently, in french-speaking areas. Cramé means “to burn”

Answer
  • Question: I've been confused by this for a while but: why is Jane Boolittle listed with all the different lines of dolls at the top? Was there something special about her release? - Anonymous
  • Answer:

Mostly because she was released in her own assortment. She exists almost solely as a connection point for the entire Secret Creepers line.

Answer
  • Question: Hello, do you know what is happening with the Monsteristas dolls? When are they going to be released? I am dying to get one! Thanks. - Anonymous
  • Answer:

    There is no Monsteristas line.

  • Question: Hi, I'm new to the MH and I'm SO lost already! I've written done every character so far, but there are so many of them. I know that many of the new dolls are the "basic" version with the diaries so far; does every doll have a basic version released with a diary? What are your suggestions for anyone catching on now? Buy the basic of every character, including the original 7? Skip basic and get another version (ex: 13 Wishes Frankie), or get every wave even if they aren't as cute? Thanks! :D <3 - xstarryeyeddreamerx
  • Answer:

Most of the time, a doll’s first appearance is their signature/basic look, that you will see time and time again in the webisodes and movies For the first couple years, the “core assortment” case contained this signature look dolls. Those assortments still ship, but have been themed under the titles Picture Day & New Scaremester, for the past 2 years now, and just featured the next iteration of a character’s signature look (though their first-appearance look is generally still in tact in the media.

Some of the older basics are now expensive or hard to track down, unless you luck out with second-hand stores or ebay. The “Original Favorites” assortments is still somewhat available- Frankie and Clawdeen are in stock on Amazon at this moment for the correct price. But in general I say get what you want! Get the version of the character’s you like the best. If you want to invest in the collection, and you REALLY want a specific version, just be prepared to spend a little more - but if you’re going to do that, take your time and have patience, as there is always a deal to be had. You can look at the doll directory pages to see all the versions of each character released so far.

Ultimately, do what makes you happy with your collection. Sometimes the hunt is fun for one season, and then sometime’s you’ll just order them online to get them and be done..

One note, the only dolls to not have their signature looks released so far is Gil, and Slo-Mo. Fully dressed boys will likely always be a rarity at this point.

  • Question: Anything on the grapevine about a possible second Wydowna release (possibly as an I Love Fashion/I Love Accessories, New Scaremester, Ghouls Alive, etc.)? - Anonymous
  • Answer:

The current belief is that the picture of the new Wydowna from the Mattel Shareholder PDF aligns with a “Doll + Fashion” (I Love Fashion) Toys R Us exclusive that showed up in TRU’s stock system for next season (Fall 2014 - due out this summer). Fingers crossed!

  • Answer:

Fright On, Escape from Skull Shores and Scaris still haven’t gotten releases in the United States. Scaris did come out in Europe though. No release has been planned at this time.

  • Question: I wanted to let u know. Gilda GoldStag is an ever after high fandom made, its a drawing someone did. its on everafter high fandom - Anonymous
  • Answer:

Just because a fan of EAH made something on a wikia page (this past January) does it mean that the actual trademark filed 2 months prior isn’t for Monster High. Gilda hasn’t shown up in either official universe yet, so I leave it open to the possibility of being an MH character.

  • Question: I've noticed in Canadian Target stores, that they carry a non-Power Ghoul version of Toralei's Catastrophe doll. Would you know if they carry a similar version of Deuce? The packaging for the doll seems to match the Power Ghoul version except there is a small Monster High logo in place of the Power Ghoul logo. Thank-you. - Anonymous
  • Answer:

This is the first I’ve heard of this. Also are you confusing Power Ghouls and Ghouls Alive (since you mention Deuce). I’m not completely sure I understand due to the characters & lines not completely matching. Did you snap any pictures?
